I’ve decided to join Pinterest as I venture into new recipes that help create and restore energy balance, fuel and heal the body.
My thinking was if I tried a recipe and liked it, then you could easily use the same recipes. Although, I must say that I am one that likes to tweak it to make it my own.
The way this came about was due to my own health challenges. Part of my purpose has been to attempt to heal myself through food. While this is an ongoing process, I hadn’t actually figured out how to make it work until this past summer. Believe me when I say this…I’ve spent over a decade on trying to figure out what works for me.
Having said that, I’ve tried many diets but nothing worked and most were hard to follow. I did discover that the body is a great tool because it has a way of letting you know what’s good for you and what’s not. That is…if you’re paying attention.
So part of this journey has been about finding a balance that works for me. Therefore I don’t subscribe to any labels…like vegan, Paleo, keto, etc. But for the last six months I have been gluten, dairy, soy, canola, corn and mostly grain free with a few exceptions.
My sugar consumption has been drastically cut back while I use mostly stevia, dates, coconut sugar, local honey and occasionally maple syrup.
In the new earth, the only way to eat is intuitively. This means that you’ll need to listen to what your body needs for food. Your body was built to assist you in consuming proper nutrients. The problem comes when you feed it food that it wasn’t naturally designed to eat and digest.
Part of the awakening process is realizing that the body is a vessel that you need to protect and nourish properly. It requires love, healthy food and water. Once you realize that, you’ll likely start your own journey to better health.
So if you’d like to see what recipes I’m trying out, head on over to Pinterest and join me as I discover new foods and ways to prepare them. My hope is that you’ll be able to find your balance as well.
